![]() ![]() So when I heard the same developers were making a World War II-based game using a modified version of the EU engine, I was quite intrigued. And while the focus begins with Europe (hence the name), it is a truly world-spanning game, with pretty much any country you care to name (and many more you've never even heard of) available as playable positions. My favorite strategy game of the last couple years has been Europa Universalis II, an under-rated little title that simulated four centuries of history across the entire globe.
